2022 was a time for reflection, re-group and throw the proverbial balls in the air and see where they land. This will help light the way, navigate down the path and see what is to become for the next five years.
I must admit, I am a bit of a planner, list maker and work out key steps to where I want to be, or where I would like to end up. Explore options, investigate certain directions, but also speak up if I want to make a U turn and end up down a different path. If it feels right, then it is meant to be.
I had a five year plan, and I stuck to that. When I purchased Women’s Network Australia in 2017, it had great foundations. It just needed a refurbishment and a lick of paint. A change. Bring it into the now. It has always been an organisation about making great connections, collaborating in business, passing on referrals and helping each other out.
I have been so incredibly proud to have led Women’s Network Australia for the past five years, but as they say, all good things come to an end.
2020 was a particularly challenging year for me, not just with COVID-19, but also managing family health. It was a time for me to start thinking about the future and what lay ahead for me.
Earlier this year, I decided that after five wonderful years with Women’s Network Australia, it was time for me to move on to new challenges.
The Christmas Charity Luncheon of 2021 was aptly themed “Dare to Dream” and that’s exactly what I did five years ago – and what a ride it’s been with WNA. Plenty of lessons learnt along the way, but kicked some goals along the way.
I was thrilled to be standing out the front and looking out at a sold-out crowd of members and friends celebrating and empowering each other. We had finally made it – albeit without our interstate members.
Rest assured, I’m not going to disappear. I am delighted to be part of Women’s Network Australia as one of their valued Ambassadors.
